Found this old game in a bric-a-brac shop on the Isle of Skye a few weeks back. 'The more rapidly the trading proceeds, the greater the babel, the more laughter, and the more ludicrous the excitement.' They were lying! Rather splendid box though.
You know what? I think I played that with my half english bet friend and her english grandparents. Thought it was quite funny though. Isn't it the one where you trade different kind of grains?
My parents owned this. Even as a child I was completely smitten with the design and type on the box. At a rather young age I even remember feeling a tiny grudge towards the makers of PIT...
How could a game look so fantastic, yet be so utterly dull?
I guess a passion for good design is a condition I was unknowingly born with.
